Well ... the kids are finally back. They are already testing us with small things ... sigh.
They won't be having any more mom visits for at least 3 months, and maybe longer. So, that's good and bad. Sweet and sour.
My emotions are taking hold of me right now, and I know it is them ... bless their hearts. They won't even get to talk to mom for at least 3 months...
Anyways, I have lots to take care of. I just wanted to update.

The Start of Kids in the House!
I am so sorry it took me so long to post an entry about the kids!! It's been crazy around here, as you can imagine!
We took 2 children into our home on January 25th ... a Tuesday at 6:30pm. That day will forever be ingrained into our memories! The girl is 4 and will be in Kindergarten next year, and the boy is 3. They are brother and sister, and are very close. The girl really looks out for her brother, and does everything for him ... so he's not very self-sufficient, like a 3-year-old should be. We're working on that, though ;-)
The boy has had several tantrums since living with us ... some really small, some REALLY big. He's already put a hole in his bedroom wall during one, and has hit me twice. And being Foster Parents, we cannot spank or use corporal punishment with them.
They are both in school right now. The girl is doing well, just working on catching up with all the other 4 year olds with her academics. The boy is pretty defiant at school and home. We're still working on that. "He's full of anger and has been exposed to a lot", the counselor says. The counselor is coming once a week, and Wednesday will be her second visit with us. I pray she helps a lot.
They're already beginning to trust us more ... but we still have a long way to go!
Well, I'm off to go relax for a bit before I need to feed us dinner ... Just wanted to give a quick update.
